CSS-based Design
I design websites using Cascading Style Sheets, which is the standard recommended by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), the organization that controls standards for the web. CSS has a number of advantages, such as being lightweight (less time to download pages), easier to maintain, and search-engine friendly.
I can design a style to your specifications, or use an existing stylesheet as a template. The more you know what you want the site to look like, and can communicate it to me, the faster and easier your site can be up and running. For inspiration or ideas, look over the free CSS templates at www.free-css.com. If you have no idea what you want, I can supply several rough drafts for you to choose from.
Before getting started, you'll need to identify the goals for your website. You will also need to supply the content for the website, although I can help organize and edit the information.
Basic 5-Page Site
A simple 5-page site can cost as little as $250. You supply the content and graphics, pay for hosting space (about $50/year) and I will take care of the rest.
A basic site typically has these pages:

- About Us
- Contact Us
An interactive Contact Us form is included in the $250 fee. If you need significant help organizing and editing information, I will need to charge an hourly rate in addition to the $250 base fee. I can supply stock photos to supplement your graphics, usually for less than $10 per photo.
More complicated sites obviously cost more. Additional pages, Flash animations, interactivity, shopping carts, etc. all take significant development time. Let me know what you want, and I will work up a recommendation and estimate for you.
